Taxon: Ammonite , Palaeonnello sulcatina
Submit date: 2011-08-21
Location (approximate): Jackson, Jackson, MI
Stratigraphy: Marshall Formation
Age: Osagian (Early Mississippian)
Submitter notes: This is a small fragment of Ammonite from the Marshall sandstone. The internal whorl is visible but only a few of the simple sutures can be seen in the center making species identification difficult. The entire specimen is less then an inch across. A partial cast of the Pelecypod, Palaeoneilo sulcatina, is below the Ammonite.
