Location (approximate): Rockport, Alpena, MI

Strat unit: Bell formation

Submitter notes: This species, Gennaeocrinus variables, which is very tiny, 1.176 cm (0.69 inches), can still be host to a snail as a rare parasite(?). The gastropod is too tiny for good species identification and is covered with bryozoan. Alex Fabian was generous to give me these from the Tom Witherspoon, Sr. collection knowing my interest in these Crinoid/snail association
