Megistocrinus multidecoratus Thunder Bay formation David Thompson

Submitted on 2011-11-05 by David Thompson

Location (approximate): Alpena, Alpena, MI

Strat unit: Thunder Bay formation

Submitter notes: This shows to good effect the varied decorations on the calyx of this species of Megistocrinus. This very large Caylx comes from Partridge Point in Alpena. Unfortunately the entire opposite side is covered with a very hard limey Bryazoan that completely obscures it and only this side, bottom and tegmen could be cleaned and seen.
