Strophodonta demissa, Petrocrania hamiltoniae, Aulopora microbuccinata, Atactotoechus typicus, Hederella filiformis, Hederella concinnoides Silica formation David Thompson

Submitted on 2008-05-12 by David Thompson

Location (approximate): Milan, Washtenaw, MI

Strat unit: Silica formation

Submitter notes: This brachiopod, Strophodonta demissa, has an inarticulate brachiopod, Petrocrania hamiltoniae, on it and on that inarticulate there is the tabulate coral, Aulopora microbuccinata., but not on the big brachiopod (?). In addition there are two Bryozoans on the brachiopods; Atactotoechus cf. typicus (a trepostome bryozoan) covers the side opposite the Inarticulate and Hederella filiformis (cyclostome bryozoan) on the base. Also Hederella concinnoides on the reverse and also on the inarticulate.
