Submitted on 2014-10-04 by Michael Lask
Location (approximate): Sylvania, Lucas, OH
Strat unit: Silica formation
Submitter notes: This is a plaster cast of an amazing specimen collected by Jeff Aubry in the late 1970's. It was prepared by Scott Vergiels. This is one of 200 casts made directly from the original by the late Gene Thomas (who was also a great fossil collector and preparer as well). The detail is unusually good for a replica.
These were large E. Milleri. The largest is 70 mm. They average about 55 mm. The plate is 310 mm x 230 mm.
