A very tiny Eldredgeops (Phacops) trilobite

Submitted by: David Thompson
Taxon: Eldredgeops
Submit date: 2011-11-05
Location (approximate): Sylvania, Lucas, OH
Stratigraphy: Silica Formation
Age: Erian (Middle Devonian)
Submitter notes: This is the tiniest complete Eldredgeops (Phacops) trilobite I have seen or found. The eyes are so tiny I can not determine the species although it did come from Sylvania, Ohio. It is complete but only a few millimeters long as seen by the comparison with the U.S. Ten cent piece next to it. Far rarer then the larger trilobites this site is famous for.
