Submitter notes: The 1958 checklist by Stumm & Wright lists 9 different Dolatocrinus species. This genus exhibits a great deal of plate variation for any given species. With this in mind, Kesling & Mintz (1963) synonymies nine species into three; D. bulbaceous, D. liratus, and D. tridactylus are the species from the Hungry Hollow member listed in the order of their abundance in the formation; however, all are very rare. The three specimens of D. liratus in the photo show top, side, and bottom views. They all measure 17mm in diameter and average 15mm in height.
