Submitter notes: This coral group is about 4 inches (10 cm) long by 1 3/4 inches (4.2 cm) wide. The individual coralites are about 1/4 inch (6. mm) in diameter or about the size of an eraser of a pencil. This small grouping is on a larger plate measuring some 8 inches.

Submitter notes: Both of these blastoids were collected from the Mid Devonian, Hungry Hollow formation of Ontario, Canada. The largest is 13.3 mm high by 8 mm wide and collected in 1996. The second smaller is 11.6 mm by 7 mm wide and collected in 1997.

Submitter notes: These tiny blastoids are collected from the Upper Genshaw of Alpena. The smallest is 5 mm and the largest is 5.72 mm. Two grains of rice are added for scale and the rice is 7.2 mm long. These tiny blastoids are in weathered black shales and are very difficult to find in the huge Lafarge Quarry in Alpena.
